Start your day calm by changing your morning routine. Don’t start your day off with bad news by immediately plugging into television, newspapers, or the computer. Sip your morning coffee watching the world go by your window. If you really must watch TV then watch something uplifting. If your can’t get going without the computer than at least find a podcast with a positive theme. Switch that newspaper to the kind of book that makes you feel good. Starting calm will make a huge difference in how the rest of your goes.
