A Day In My Life
When ever I read something like this blog I always wonder, “Is this person practicing what they preach?” I thought I would share about my routine, just in case you where wondering.
I rise early enough that don’t need to rush into my day. I have a protein drink. I am not a breakfast person, but I am having a little something to break my fast. However, I am not going to break my news fast just yet. No TV, newspaper, or phones. Depending on the day 20 to 60 minutes of aerobic exercise. Meditation for 20 minutes. Hit the shower. I’ll be honest I do need to put on a little rush here or I’ll mess around too much and be late for my first client’s appointment. Throw in a load of laundry and I’m off.
I try to take a lunch, but this is something I need to work on. When I do lunch I make it a healthy & light – nuts, yogurt, cheese, fruit. I leave the office to eat. Then catch some sun and fresh air by walking around the block once.
After work a little five minute walk on the treadmill helps me to switch gears. Dinner. Time talking with my husband about our days. I try to work something into the evening that does not involve any screened devise. Reading, journaling, cleaning, an evening stroll, gardening, writing, or painting.
Bedtime routine is a little yoga, writing in my gratitude journal, and 40 minutes of meditation. Then to bed early. I don’t lie to myself about how much sleep I need, 9 hours always brings me the best results.
The intention everyday is care for myself first and to watch out for my mental health. Hope you are doing the same in your own way.
