Thank You Challenge

How about making happy by taking this 21 day thank you challenge?!

For the next 21 days you send a quick thank you to someone.  Choose someone different every day.  Send your thank you via text, facebook, email, video message, sticky note, or a thank you card thrown on their desk.  It doesn’t need to be lengthy or elaborate.  Don’t turn this into a chore.  This is for your happiness not something to add to your to-do list. So if you miss a day or a week, just pick it back up where you left off.

Keep your message short and sweet. Keeping it to a sentence or two.  However, don’t say “thank you for everything you do” or ” thanks for always being there.”  Those just sound like memes and not very beneficial. Thank them for something specific they have done.  This is a sweeter message for them.  Plus this is of more benefit for you as it brings up a nice memory for you and helps you feel more grateful.

21 different people seem a little overwhelming?  Let me help.  Spouses, children, grandchildren, grandparents, uncles, aunts, parents, co-workers, friends, neighbors, teachers, counselors, doctor, nurses, housekeepers, assistants, wait staff, parking attendant, supervisor, mechanic, pastor, mail carrier, gardener, chiropractor, receptionist.  Anyone who has helped you, gone the extra mile, or that you can depend on.

WARNING:  Don’t reach out to those you no longer wish contact with.  They might misunderstand and believe you want to renew the relationship.  Also don’t contact ex-spouses or ex-lovers. It creates confusion and possible jealousy with your current or theirs.  This is a happiness exercise, not about creating chaos.

Here we go Thank You Challenge 2019!  Thank you to my blog readers for not only reading my blog, but for your comments thanking me and telling me how you have been helped by this blog. You bring a smile to my face.
